OUR MISSION & VISION

At Brighter Beginnings 4 Kids, we believe that the first years of a child's life are critical to the development of creativity, happiness, independence, and positive self-esteem. When the first years of a child's life are nurtured and filled with love and opportunities to learn, children have a stronger chance at becoming a competent and happy adult in society.

Our goal is to create a brighter future for young children and a lifelong love of learning. We also believe that a clean and safe, high-quality program is beneficial to every child. The whole needs of a child must be considered during the time of care. These needs fall into the domains of cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development for a child.

Along with addressing these areas, we also provide access to a first class early childhood curriculum, technology in the classroom, project based learning, early math and phonics skills, and STEM activities. Children will also begin to develop early foreign language skills by learning Spanish through songs and fun age appropriate activities. This foundation will help children to develop a positive attitude towards learning and enhance their childcare experience.

Brighter Beginnings 4 Kids is dedicated to providing excellent and high-quality childcare services for children of all social, economic and cultural backgrounds. With highly trained staff and developmentally appropriate programs, we will provide a nurturing and loving environment for children to learn. In addition to our wonderful curriculum, we have exciting learning centers such as art and crafts, science and technology, dramatic play, math, and our library corner.

We are here to establish, build, and maintain long lasting partnerships with parents of the children enrolled in our center. Our childcare programs offer solutions that busy working families need.

  OUR PROGRAM DESIGN

Brighter Beginnings 4 Kids is an exclusive childcare program located at 2709 Ritchie Road, Forestville, Maryland 20747.

The center will participate in Maryland EXCELS, a voluntary Quality Rating and Improvement System that recognizes the accomplishments of early childhood providers in the state of Maryland. The center is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) as a childcare center for children ages 2 to12 years of age. The center has a capacity of 50 children.

Brighter Beginnings 4 Kids will include an educational component by way of Creative Curriculum, a research-based curricula and assessment system that supports teaching through creativity and project-based learning. Creative curriculum is part of the MSDE State-Recommended Comprehensive Early Learning Curricula for 3-5 year olds.

Operating hours for the childcare program are from 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday - with observance of all major holidays.

  OUR CURRICULUM MODEL, PHILOSOPHY and APPROACH

We embrace The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos and The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. The Creative Curriculum is a framework for learning. It is based in theory and research and provides support in curriculum, assessment, professional development and family connection. This curriculum is based upon the latest research in connection with how young children develop and learn. Our teachers apply the theory and research of how children acquire skills, knowledge and develop behavior through meaningful, hands on learning activities.

Through the implementation of the curriculum, we support children‘s learning through play, creating a rich environment for acquiring knowledge and forging strong home-school connections. Classroom policies regarding behavior are developmentally appropriate for each age group. The Creative Curriculum gives our teachers the tools to help all children in their classrooms succeed in school and life.
